On the plus side: I was allowed to cancel my my non-refundable/non-cancelable reservation but this was done after being lectured about the hotel industry being a free market economy "allowed to charge what the market will bear". All prices are pre tax prices so my room after tax was almost $500! for a hotel in Athens, Georgia - not NYC, London or Paris! Today when I re-checked the everyday price (without using wedding party special) I found four equal to/same rooms for $227/night! When I spoke with another guest I found that they booked an equal to/same room for $127/night. I booked a room for an upcoming wedding for $428/night because that was the only price available using the wedding party special price.
